Job Description
A nonprofit organization assisting women who are experiencing personal loss is seeking a compassionate and empathetic Coordinator.
This role involves coordinating services, offering emotional support, and providing resources to women navigating grief.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of loss and be able to connect women with the appropriate support and community resources. As a key member of the team, the Coordinator will ensure that women receive the care, information, and connection they need during a challenging and emotional time.
Responsibilities include:

Provide one-on-one support to women who are experiencing personal loss, offering empathetic listening, guidance, and resources tailored to their unique needs.

Coordinate and organize support groups, workshops, and events that address the emotional and practical needs of the women.

Serve as a compassionate point of contact for women seeking assistance, offering a non-judgmental space for expressing grief and emotional challenges.

Assist with practical needs, such as helping women navigate legal or logistical concerns related to their loss.
Skills required:

Ability to understand and connect with individuals who are grieving, offering compassionate support without judgment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen actively and express empathy in sensitive situations.

Strong organizational abilities to coordinate support services, manage schedules, and keep track of client needs and progress.

Ability to respond to urgent situations with sensitivity and resourcefulness, providing practical and emotional solutions when needed.
Requirements:

At least 2-3 years of experience in a related field, preferably with experience supporting individuals through grief or personal loss.

Experience working in a nonprofit or community-based setting is highly preferred.

An understanding of grief through personal experience can be highly valuable in offering deep empathy and support.
