A Real Estate Company is seeking a Controller.
The successful candidate will lead a team of 6 Bookkeeper, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive leadership team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate finance, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising a team of 6 bookkeepers, including training and performance evaluations whilst fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
Skills needed:
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Detail oriented.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar financial leadership role.
- Experience in real estate finance.
- CPA strongly preferred.
