A large and established Insurance Company with multiple office locations is seeking Insurance Underwriters to join their team.

Ideal candidates will be diligent, organized, and have great communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Examining insurance proposals.
• Collecting background information and assessments of risk.
• Analysing statistical data using specialist computer programs.
• Writing quotes and negotiating the terms with brokers and clients.
• Determining premiums.
• Deciding on the wording of policies.

• Good maths and statistics skills

• Verbal and written communication skills

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an underwriter

Location: Brooklyn, NY or Lakewood, NJ

Hours: Full-time

Salary: $40-80k depending on experience
