A large Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Underwriter to join their team.

The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive expertise in risk assessment to make informed decisions, manage underwriting processes, and contribute to the profitability and growth of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate insurance applications, analyze risks, and determine appropriate coverage, premiums, and terms for insurance policies.

• Communicate effectively with brokers, agents, and clients to gather necessary information, clarify underwriting requirements, and provide guidance on policies and decisions.

• Review existing insurance policies, analyze risk factors, and make recommendations for adjustments or modifications based on changing circumstances or risk profiles.

• Collaborate with underwriting teams, actuaries, and other departments to ensure consistent underwriting standards and practices.

Skills needed:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and make informed decisions.

• Negotiation, and leadership abilities.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and across departments.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting roles within the insurance industry, demonstrating progressive responsibility and expertise.

• In-depth knowledge of insurance principles, risk assessment, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
